Racing Abandoned On Day Three of Guyader Grand Prix In Douarnenez

Sadly the wind refused to cooperate on day three of the Guyader Grand Prix in Douarnenez.  When the Race Committee and boats first arrived in the race area there was sub-one knot and there was a lengthy postponement.  Eventually the wind came in from the South and the Race Committee promptly set up the line and got the fleet away at the second attempt after a general recall.  Things looked pretty reasonable if shifty on the first beat, but as the boats came down the run the rain set in and the wind died completely leaving the committee no option but to abandon the race. The RESULTS therefore remain unchanged.

After sailing we spoke to second place Klaus Diederichs and ninth placed Ian Olson to find out about the regatta so far and what is in store for tomorrow’s final day.
