strengthening for wooden boats

Post by a_acquistapace » Thu Aug 17, 2006 4:30 pm

I'm the owner of a wooden Dragon built in 1936 (SWE 58).
I want to connect the shrouds to the mast heel.
I'm not sure how to fix wire ties to the mast heel.
Did anybody try this before?
I took the idea from an IDA newsletter.
Thank you!

Dear a,
I own the Dragon with the shrouds connected to the mast heel as mentionned in Dragon News Summer 1998 edition pp. 9 and 10.
Are we talking about the same (IDA ?) newsletter ?
You are welcome in Belgium to inspect.
Kind regards,

Hi A

I sent an e-mail to you the 8th sept with pics of SWE 194 that we visited some years ago. You have not responded to my e-mail. On my blogg I have links to other swedish classic dragon owners. This to make some kind of network. We are not racing one design but only LYS-races etc...

Hi D,
I'm terribly sorry but I've been distracted!
after about a year I'm replying.
due to some family problems I have to end up selling SWE58.
It's a pity since we just restored her.
Do you know of any one who might be interested?
here's my new e-mail

many thanks
